So far only 2 companies have answered the following example letter
in order to come forward (come clean) and let everyone know about
their conviction / and intended or already accomplished security
prevension algorithms and other safegards regarding the security
of their product(s).
At least IBM and Extropia has a site for Hacking
concerns:
IBM Security issues discussed:
1) Known security issues
2) Considerations when developing macros
3) General Security Considerations
High-end solutions, expensive.
Extropia cool Hacks site
Just do a search on Extropia site for security
Even if you get a 404 error, just conduct a search there for security!
Of course, you'll need to know something bout GPG encryption
and Perl Code to understand some of the Extropia security
HACKs explained, and as for IBM, You'll just have to believe
them, cause they ain't gonna give you that many details anyway.
Of all the dozens of companies i contacted, only
2 so far have come clean [< 48 hours response time]
with a response to my e-mail letter regarding
their efforts to curb or iliminate hackers and
tightening up security issues.
