hide your IP while you surf!
Your computer broadcasts a unique code, something like a house address
or your social insurance number. This number, called an IP adress,
can be tracked easily and 'spoofed', such that malicious programmers
can see what you're doing and even pretend to be you. Protecting your
IP address prevents malicious users from collecting your personal
data and stealing your identity!
Anonymous Surfing works through a process known as 'proxying'. By
sending your Internet traffic through an anonymizing 'proxy', your
traffic is rendered secure. The idea is that so many other people
are using the proxy that your particular traffic is impossible to
locate, being lost in a crowd. You'll never have to worry about
your online banking or shopping being compromised!

You're in Serious Trouble - It's a Proven Fact! |
The following message was received from www.starvisor.com, In response to the letter which follows, which i sent them as well as many other e-commerce software and service providers. Hello Chris, I'm not sure whether this was a directed request to us or a commercial broadcast. I'm not quite sure what you're asking. The short answer about StarVisor's security is that we have integrated a two-tier password system throughout the administrator portions of the software. The first tier uses Basic Authentication, which has known security holes but keeps most hackers out. The second tier is based upon JumbleAya 42-A, an encryption system that we developed and for which have filed a patent. It is a public key/private key system that uses document-based encryption to transmit a second-tier password across the Internet. Only by entering both passwords can webmasters gain access to the StarVisor Merchant Control Panel. In the three years we have been distributing the software, no merchant's site has been successfully hacked, although there have been several unsuccessful attempts. Most had nothing more to say (much more) than above StarVisor did, such as the basics like password authentication and basic encryption. Only Extropia and IBM had some (what i felt) REAL answers to this tough question concerning security issues in general! ---------------------------------------------------------
Hello! How secure is your software? How can i convince someone that you're taking a pro-active role in curbing hacker activity? How secure is your software in reality? How confident are your prospective customers in your product? ie. Can you convince people of your software security / integrity? What have you all done to convince potential clients that your software is secure? Is your software really? How confident are your prospective customers? Do you have a site that proves it, or at least convinces potential clients? Even Extropia has a cool Hacks site where people can contribute and view whats going on! This impowers people and gives them a sense of confidence in the product! http://www.extropia.com/hacks/misc/GnuPG.html http://www.extropia.com/hacks/ws_order_tracking.html So Does IBM: http://www-3.ibm.com/software/webservers/commerce/servers/security.html IBM Security issues discussed: 1) Known security issues 2) Considerations when developing macros 3) General Security Considerations Below i have a link to a site which lists site visits today, specifically for searches made uniquely on Hacks and Cracks for your Software(s). This info was gathered by our Web site hit tracker recording software. The list of visitors searches were extracted using grep / awk and sorted by software search name. Note: duplicates have been extracted by UNIX uniq command. ..... In reality, there was probably dozens of hits ..... searching for the same info! The original file ..... was 2MB in size. So Please visit: http://www.vif.com/users/chris-m/shopping-cart/e-comm2.html E-C Credit card processing companies and enablers: http://www.vif.com/users/chris-m/submit.html Questions: 1) What have you all done lately to prevent hacking in general on any of your software? We promote your software, and want to add as much info as possible, about your security precautions to allay fears people have of buying or using your software. 2) Do you have a web site which describes your anti-hacking and security improvements? What / where is it? 3) Do you have an affiliate program for promoting your software? What is the link please? Cheers, CAM
