I started sewing for myself about 6 years ago as a hobby. Then, I considered the offer for this type of clothing in Quebec city not very interesting. So I learned how to sew by myself by making prototypes and by wearing them. With years I developed original creations (entirely created and made by Dulcydrama) and altered clothing. Alterations are made from modified clothing, which always gives a unique and very different result from what the clothes were at first. For Dulcydrama, the past is an infinite source of inspiration. The corset is one of my design of predilection. These creations have the concern of lowest production cost to remain accessible while offering original fabrics. Being concerned by the environment, I sometimes use recycled fabrics, but I always make sure that they are in perfect condition.
For a few years, I have sold some of my designs on www.gothicauctions.com despite the fact that I had little spare times to sew. On this site, I have had satisfied buyers in several countries. Since November 2005, some of my creations are also available at the Rock Star Inc boutique, in Quebec City and since June 2006, at Atelier Queue de Chemise in Levis, Qc.
Concerning my creation philosophy
My philosophy about designing is making very limited quantities of each piece of clothing. Some of my design can be produced to sell at Rock Star boutique and on Internet auctions websites and others are special items available only at one place. But most of the time I try to vary the design by changing colors or materials. But I can make, on demand, an exact copy of one of my design. In this case, I strongly encourage poeple to personalized it by changing it a bit so It can stay original and one of a kind. Jewels are made to be unique or in limited quantities.
Ordering information
The majority of creations Dulcydrama (clothing and accessories) can be ordered on request. They can be either the designs seen in the portfolio section, the catalogue or in the series of clothing for the Rock Star boutique. Moreover, you can personalize these designs by choosing the type of fabrics and color of your item. Conditions apply however for some models. Also, I am now offering custom designs.
