This concert includes music by University of Alberta faculty  composers and features several works being premiered by the Kovalis Duo.  Bashaw's works continue his virtuoso tactile exploration of the piano and other instruments couched in Baroque, abstract and eccentric characterizations.  Steenhuisen's Vorwissen explores material from JS Bach's Musical Offering and Talpash's Chasing Twelve O'Clock offers a postmodern look at the constant flux of moving time.

The studio is undergoing a big transformation. My colleague Claus Frostell will be moving in all his personal recording equpiment and using the space as his main workspace. Keep an eye on the studio page for more information and pictures of the new set up.
