So, you've made the decision to contact me. But what should you tell me right away to set the ball rolling?
My rates are calculated according to the length of time it takes me to work on your material. I'll need to know some basic things, therefore, about your manuscript. How many words, or how many double-spaced pages, does it involve? Is it fiction or non-fiction? If the latter, does it include many footnotes, charts, diagrams, and so on? Is it intended for publication? If so, must it be presented in camera-ready form?
